Historian and television personality Xiao Chua is set to release Buhay at Banyuhay: Mga Kuwentong May Kuwenta—a book on anthropology and society, examining the influences of television, hierarchy, and other societal factors on people’s lives.

According to San Anselmo Press, the book is dedicated to “the children of the future, the ones who will inherit whatever it is we build or fail to build today,” highlighting the book’s focus on nationhood and responsibility. The collection brings together stories that aim to examine Philippine life and transformation through accessible and meaningful narratives.

Edited by Danton Remoto, with layout by Marx Christian Sefundo, and cover art by Celest Lecaroz, the book’s front cover features a rendition of Fernando Amorsolo’s Young Girl with Jar (1935), while the back cover includes a colorful illustration of a Filipina carrying a child in a traditional babywearing basket.

Dr. Chua’s Buhay at Banyuhay: Mga Kuwentong May Kuwenta is set to be released this March. For more updates and information, visit San Anselmo Publications, Inc.’s official Facebook page
