Capcom’s Street Fighter 6 has revealed its newest playable character, and she’s bringing a Filipino touch to the iconic fighting game.

Meet Yasmine, the newest fighter all the way from the Philippines. She’s just your ordinary high school student, but behind her shy and adorable face lies a fierce warrior who learned how to fight under the guidance of her kuya and lolo. When her kuya mysteriously disappeared, Yasmine decided to step into the streets to find answers. But don’t let her appearance fool you as she has all of the fighting skills to back her determined search up!

Yasmine’s character design is a tribute to her Filipino roots. She uses a karambit blade styled after the Philippine Eagle or agila, featuring etchings resembling an eagle in flight and a feather charm attached to the end of the blade. Her overall design also draws heavily from the national bird, tied together by a belt embroidered with the Baybayin script that reads ‘Pilipinas’.

What’s even more interesting is that Yasmine’s entire moveset is named in Tagalog! Here is a breakdown of how she plays:

  • Daloy ng Tubig & Alon: A forward-dashing knife slash (combo starter) that can follow up into Alon (rapid cuts). Landing it activates Bayani Mode, which upgrades her next finishers to knock down, ground bounce, or launch opponents.
  • Talim ng Hangin: An advancing spinning slash used to close distance. The light version acts as a feint, while medium/heavy versions travel farther. Landing it also triggers Bayani Mode, and the OD version launches the opponent.
  • Mukha ng Langit: A forward flip used for aerial approaches. Mid-flip, she can branch into Kulog (a downward claw slash) or Ulan (an upside-down cross-up strike behind the opponent).
  • Lipad ng Agila: A rising, multi-hit anti-air kick. The OD version adds startup invincibility, making it an excellent defensive reversal tool.
  • Pangil sa Likuran: A boomerang projectile that curves through the air and returns to her. Great for tricky mix-ups and pressure, though it disappears if Yasmine takes damage.

  • Super Art Level 1: Hiwa ng Kalangitan (“Slice of Heaven”) – It begins with a powerful kick that launches the opponent into the air. Yasmine then gathers energy into her karambit blade and spins through the air with a series of slashing attacks before hooking her legs around the opponent’s throat and violently slamming them headfirst back to the ground. With startup invincibility, it’s a perfect “get off me” tool.
  • Super Art Level 2: Nakatagong Lakas (“Hidden Power”) – Yasmine focuses her energy as a blue aura surrounds her karambit, granting her a temporary buff. In this state, her special attacks are enhanced, and she can execute her boosted techniques without consuming her Bayani Mode stance.
  • Super Art Level 3: Pamumukadkad ng Sampaguita (“Blooming of Sampaguita”) – Yasmine unleashes an all-out assault, juggling her opponent with a series of strikes before spinning them within gathered energy and pulverizing them with a powerful final blow.
