Heads up, improv fans! The Manila Improv Festival is back once again, this time with the theme “Rise to the Moment.” This year’s festival aims to gather improvisers, performers, and curious first-timers to witness real-time shows, workshops, and shared play performances, all in celebration of improv.
First organized in 2015, the 2026 edition will be headlined by SPIT Manila, the biggest improv group in the country, and will be joined on stage by Galaw.Co Dance Theater and Drum Circle PH.
The Manila Improv Festival will include more than 70 improv groups, following the rise of improv not only in the Philippines but all over the world, with over 20 countries participating, and local improv groups like Housekeeping Improv, Noted with Thanks, Isprikitik Improv, and Buwan ng Wika Improv joining the lineup.
International improv groups joining in the fun include Oshow (Japan), Landry and Summers (US), Formosa Improv Group (Taiwan), Beijing Improv (China), Improv Lore (India), The Joy Riders (Australia), Imfrog (South Korea), and Les Musicables (Singapore).
The show will also offer 30 improv workshops across Makati during this three-day event.
Catch the Manila Improv Festival from March 26 to 28 at the Proscenium at Rockwell in Makati City. For more information and updates, visit https://manilaimprovfestival.com/.
