After 20 years, the original cast of The Devil Wears Prada returns to bring out their devilish side for its sequel.
Set to release this April, The Devil Wears Prada 2 follows Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway), a former assistant to Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) at Runway, as she returns as a Features Editor for the magazine. With the declining print media landscape, Andy reconnects with another former assistant, Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), who is now the head of a luxury brand that possesses funding which could ensure Runway’s survival.
Headed by director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh McKenna, the film reunites the cast, with the addition of new faces including Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, B.J. Novak, and Conrad Ricamora.
“One of the things that we all love about that movie is watching what women do with power, and I love what Miranda did with it. They drive everybody to their highest excellence,” shared Anne Hathaway in an interview with Fandango as she recounted her thoughts about why the movie has remained iconic for the past few years.
