Catch your breath and hold on tight for Kapamilya Channel’s newest action-drama Roja, starring up-and-coming leading men, Donny Pangilinan and Kyle Echarri.
Directed by Lawrence Fajardo, Andoy Ranay, and Raymund Ocampo, the television series is set to showcase a star-studded cast including Maymay Entrata, Janice De Belen, Joel Torre, Raymond Bagatsing, and Lorna Tolentino.
Set in the resort of La Playa Roja, the show follows head chef Liam (Pangilinan) and security guard Olsen (Echarri)—a pair of estranged friends who are forced to look past their differences after an armed group takes over the resort. It’s up to the pair to join forces, save their families, and take control back from the armed group.
To prepare for their dual lead role, Pangilinan and Echarri were mentored and workshopped by seasoned action stars Coco Martin and Jake Cuenca. Martin is known for his roles in action-packed shows like FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano and Batang Quiapo, while Cuenca, on the other hand, is known for Palos, Los Bastardos, and The Blood Sisters. The action stars shared their experience with fight choreography and acting, paving the way for Pangilinan and Echarri’s roles in this upcoming series.

ROJA is set to stream this November 21 on Netflix, November 22 on iWant, and will make its TV premiere on November 24 at the Kapamilya Channel and Kapamilya Online Live.
