French cinema is alive and well as the Alliance Française de Manille, in partnership with the Embassy of France in the Philippines and The Institut Francais, announces its lineup for the 2025 French Film Festival.
Now on its 28th edition, the film festival aims to promote French cinema and culture by showcasing award-winning films with themes of identity, love, resilience, and society, through the lens of highly acclaimed directors.
The festival will feature eight French films including Sur les chemins noirs (2022) by Denis Imbert, Le Lycéen (2022) by Christophe Honoré, Chronique d’une liaison passagère (2022) by Emmanuelle Mouret, Les Promesses (2021) by Thomas Kruithof, Le Pharaon, le Sauvage et la Princesse (2022) by Michael Ocelot, Maya, donne-moi un titre (2024) by Michel Gondry, Le Roi et l’oiseau (1979) by Paul Grimault, and La Fracture (2021) by Paul Grimault.
The official entries to the 28th French Film Festival will be screened from December 1 to 6 at the Alliance Française de Manille, 209 Nicanor Garcia Street in Makati.
