Nowadays, art has become easier to discover as more people find ways to make it accessible to the community. One of these ways is the Gateway Art Fair.

Now in its fifth year, the Gateway Art Fair 2026 opened on October 1 and has been extended until October 11 following a positive response from visitors. Organized by the J. Amado Araneta Foundation (JAAF) in partnership with Gateway Gallery, the annual fair aims to champion Filipino artists and transform public spaces into cultural hubs , giving more people the opportunity to encounter and appreciate local artists.

The fair features 36 booth displays with over 200 artists, bringing together both veterans and regional collectives such as painter Lydia Velasco, watercolor practitioner Gerardo Jimenez, sculptor Yannie Rumbaoa, Mindoro Artists Group and Lion Art Group, who have brought their own collections and creative booths to the fair, showcasing creative works like paintings, sculptures, and fine crafts.

By bringing art into a familiar and accessible space like a shopping mall, the Gateway Art Fair gives more people the opportunity to pause, explore, and learn more about art, the artists, and the stories behind their works. It also creates a space where Filipino artists can be recognized and appreciated by the people and communities around them. So, the next time you’re at Gateway Mall, take a little detour and you might just find a new favorite art piece along the way.

The Gateway Art Fair 2026 runs until October 11 at the Quantum Skyview, Upper Ground B, Gateway Mall 2, Araneta City. Admission is free, giving everyone more access and time to explore, discover, and celebrate Filipino art.
