Team Philippines Wraps Up The 20th Asian Games With 29 Medals

The 20th Asian Games took place at Nagoya and Aichi Prefecture in Japan from September 19 to October 4, bringing together athletes from across Asia to compete in various sporting disciplines. Filipino athletes took on some of the region’s best competitors as they proudly carried the country’s flag on the international stage.

Leading Team Philippines as flag bearers were weightlifter Ian Albert Delos Santos and boxer Aira Villegas. Together, they represented the Philippines as the country competed for a place on the podium at the Asian Games.

After weeks of intense competition, the full list of winning athletes from the country is finally here. The Philippines secured a total of 29 medals, including 4 gold medals, 9 silver medals, and 16 bronze medals, placing the country 17th among 45 participating countries.
