A fan-favorite late-night talk show is set to make its comeback on Philippine television next month!

Cory Vidanes, Chief Operating Officer of ABS-CBN, announced the return of Gandang Gabi Vice during ABS-CBN’s annual stockholders’ meeting this August. Comedian and host Vice Ganda has also teased the project during her contract renewal signing with ABS-CBN earlier this month, sharing that she would always continue working with ABS-CBN and also revealing that she had a project lined up with GMA next month.

Gandang Gabi Vice or GGV was a talk show hosted by Vice Ganda featuring actors, musicians, entertainment personalities, and even politicians, all interviewed in front of a live audience. The show is known for its fun atmosphere made possible by Vice’s comedic interjections and superb timing, with some heartfelt interview moments in between. Guests would often showcase their talents like singing or dancing, while others joined Vice Ganda in games, comedy skits, and other entertaining segments.

Beginning its run in 2011, GGV became known over the years for its memorable and hilarious moments of Vice Ganda with different stars. As host of the program, Vice Ganda also received recognition and awards from the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Television as Best Celebrity Talk Show Host.

The show aired its finale episode on March 8, 2020 with Raffy Tulfo as its final guest. And with the COVID-19 pandemic bringing changes to television programming, after a smooth and successful nine-year run, GGV paused its weekly premieres.

But today, the show is now ready to make its television comeback after 6 years. Its return will also mark its first time to air across GMA, iWant TV, and the Kapamilya Channel. Following this announcement, many netizens expressed their excitement and some hoped to see Vice Ganda invite both Kapamilya and Kapuso stars.

The official premiere date, schedule, and time slot are yet to be announced, but GMA has confirmed that it will air starting September of this year. Stay tuned for more updates on the return of Gandang Gabi Vice.
