Meet the newest P-Pop boy group proudly representing Davao City!
AYO is a seven-member pre-debut boy group under Sony Music Philippines, bringing a fresh perspective to the industry by embracing their Bisaya roots while showcasing world-class talent and powerful performances.
According to the group’s interview with ABS-CBN, AYO was formed to reflect the vibrant and multicultural spirit of Davao while offering a distinct identity in the growing P-Pop landscape. ‘AYO’ came from the Bisaya word “maayo” which means “good”, symbolizing their desire to show how good and talented they are. It also means “knocking on a door” in Bisaya, representing their ambition to open doors within the P-Pop industry and introduce themselves to audiences around the world. At the same time, the members shared that the name carries a youthful, Gen Z-friendly energy that makes it both memorable and globally relatable.

The lineup includes Patrick (Patrick Guiller Guias), Enzo (Laurence Ruta), Justin (Justin Villegas), TJ (Justine Tan), GV (Glenn Vonn Arboleda), Renzo (Renzo Pagsaligan), and Zack (Zack Garcia). Their individual positions are yet to be revealed but each of them has already showcased their talents in singing, dancing, and rapping. Not to mention their own charisma too!
The group officially introduced themselves through their pre-debut single “I’m Him” released in April of this year.
