Since Moana has always been set in the world of the sea and shore, making splashes and riding the waves, Grammy-winning orchestral composer Mark Mancina, award-winning songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Opetaia Foa’i of the Polynesian band Te Vaka collaborated to put together the island-inspired rhythms, melodies, and songs that Moana is now known for.
